Hello and welcome to Kindergarten! We are so excited for you to join our Roxhill Community.

The transition to school is a big step in your child's life. It’s natural to have some anxiety, especially with the added twist of distance learning. That's why, even before school officially starts, we want to begin a connection with your family. In past summers, we've offered Jump Start, a week in August when children could come to school, meet staff and peers, and "practice" kindergarten routines.

Health and safety must be our top priority, so we will not meet at school in August- instead we will be hosting a Jump Start Kit Pick Up Party on August 17th at 11:00 AM.

Inside each kit, you will find fun art supplies and tools for your student to explore. We will be posting videos for your student to watch to help explain more about the different materials inside of your kit, as well as fun read alouds and more on our Roxhill School webpage. Check out this video that shows what's in your kit! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bu0GZade0OI&feature=youtu.be

The Roxhill Kindergartner Teachers will be there to greet you! However, in order to support safety and follow CDC guidelines, we ask that you do not stay on campus to talk with the teachers and staff at this time. After the week of Jump Start, you will be hearing from your student's Kindergarten teacher to schedule a virtual Family Connection Meeting on September 2nd-4th. This will be a great opportunity to ask any questions you may have.

If you have any questions about Jump Start, please email Jacqui Betz at jabetz@seattleschools.org

We are so excited to meet you!!

    In partnership,

    The Roxhill Kindergarten Team
