5th Grade Teacher Kristie Stoehr Honored by Office Max and Adopt a Classroom for a Day

Ms. Stoehr was recently honored by Office Max and Adopt a Classroom and their cause A Day Made Better for her excellence in the classroom. Ms. Stoehr was honored for being an incredibly dedicated teacher who constantly seeks out ways to help her students succeed at a very high level. Her students have consistently made great gains in all subjects and perhaps, more important, she fosters and develops the mindset and behaviours they need to continue to be successful scholars in the future. She is always willing to help out and each year takes on the huge task of organizing our Welcome Back Barbeque. Her students are lucky to have her as their teacher.

4th Grade Teacher Teresa Klein Named a Symetra Hero in the Classroom

Ms. Klein epitomizes a true Hero in the Classroom in every way! She has the energy, determination, poise, compassion, patience, skill and relentless drive that are the hallmarks of a master teacher. She is a gifted and masterful teacher, bringing the joy of learning and the gift of foundational knowledge and skills to all her students. From the moment you enter her classroom, you know you have entered a classroom that enriches students' intellectual, creative, artistic, and emotional lives. Teresa knows how to not only challenge her students to excel, but also to reinforce their own belief that they can do so. She genuinely feels a responsibility for the success of every child at Roxhill. Her instructional leadership has had a powerful effect on the teaching of all the educators at our school. She is a true gift to teaching.

A Really Big Thanks to Keim Construction

Roxhill Elementary extends a huge thanks to Al Keim and his brother Tom of Keim Construction Company for giving Roxhill a much-needed coat of paint. They began the process over a year ago to obtain the proper permits that the district requires for this kind of work. They spent three long days over the Labor Day weekend and worked tirelessly to paint the R and the building. Not only that, they gave the windows in the cafeteria a much-needed washing! Al Keim donated his time and the cost of all materials and paint! We at Roxhill cannot thank him and his brother enough. Thanks also go to Rodda Paint and Berg Scaffold for their donations of paint and the scaffold used by the painters. We are so appreciative to have the support of our community!
