Starfish meets Mondays and Wednesdays after school from 3:35 - 5:15 pm. The focus is on safe, structured, fun activities that build understanding of community, teamwork and service.

Discovery Club meets Tuesdays and Thursdays after school from 3:35 - 5:15 pm, with a focus on exploring concepts in Geography and Science.

Jump & Stack Club


Activity Coordinators - Chellie LaFayetteMichelle Lehman
Grades 1-5
Meets in the gym

Jump & Stack meets on Wednesdays after school from 3:35 - 5:00 pm and combines Physical Fitness and Cup Stacking. The first half of the club focuses on enhancing and advancing the students' strength and skills in such as activities as rope climbing, the rock wall, and jump rope, building on and going beyond what they are taught in class. The second half of the class focuses on the competitive skill of cup stacking, which is great for motor planning and eye/hand coordination and focus.

Science Club

Grades 1-5
Meets in Room 4

Science Club meets Thursdays after school from 3:35 - 5:00 pm. Students will explore scientific concepts, learn how to use scientific tools, and create hypotheses that they then test out. We're gearing up to have our first Science Fair near the end of May. Stay tuned for more information!

Team Read

Activity Coordinators - Jean Kincaid, Anndrea Beaty
Grades 2-3

Team Read meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:35-4:45. It pairs 2nd and 3rd grade students with a high school reading mentor. These reading teams work together throughout the year to help improve comprehension, fluency and decoding skills essential for lifelong readers. .

Math All Stars

Activity Coordinator - Beth Graves
Grades K-5
Meets in Room 9

This academic club meets on Mondays and Wednesdays from 3:45- 4:45pm and serves students in grades K-5. The club is coordinated by Communities In Schools. Students work in small groups (2-4) with volunteer math tutors who lead students in math games that increase their basic math skills. Students are referred to this club by their classroom teachers.

Invest in Youth

An academic club in which individual students are matched with their very own tutor. The club meets every Tuesday from 3:35- 4:45pm and serves students in grades K-5. The club is coordinated by Communities In Schools. Students are referred to this club by their classroom teachers.

Wilderness Club

Meets in Cafeteria

On Wednesdays after school we are lucky enough to have Wilderness Awareness come in and run a program for our scholars.  This program is open to K-5 students and runs from 3:35-5:15 until the end of May.  There are currently a couple roster spots available. 
 
“Through creative play and exploration, after-school program participants work together in small groups gaining nature awareness and knowledge of plants, mammals, tracking, birds, and survival.  Our instructors guide students into experiences that nurture their connection to the earth and allow them to feel at home in the natural world.
