Mary-Elizabeth Ezenwaka Recognized for Innovation in Teaching

Roxhill is proud to announce that our very own Mary-Elizabeth Ezenwaka has been awarded the Patsy Collins Award! This award is given to teachers who are innovative in their approach to education through project and inquiry based learning and implementing hands-on outdoor education in their classrooms. Mary-Elizabeth believes that all students deserve experiential learning that they can connect meaningfully to their lives, and she utilizes the neighboring bog, park and community to engage the whole child in unique, hands-on learning experiences. She has also created a partnership with Camp Long that features a weekly naturalist visit as well as future trips to the park for outdoor education.
Congratulations, Mary-Elizabeth! We are so proud of you!
